15" Bundt wheels on an SL- What is the best tire size?

I have a set of 15" Bundt wheels that I am putting on my SL, and I would like to know the best tire size. I would like to install the widest tire I can on the 7" wide wheels, and stay as close as possible to the diameter of the factory tires. If I am not mistaken, the factory size is 205 70 14.
Thanks in advance, Rich

A little searching and I found this:

Either 215-60-15, or 205-65-15
The 205-65 is slightly larger, the 215-60 slightly smaller.

Thanks, that is exactly what I was looking for. I think I will go with the 215-60.....Rich

Yokohama or Mastercraft

I have found two places that have the tire size I need, and can get them tomorrow. One place has Yokohama, the other Masatercraft. Which one is better? Anyone have an opinion?

Tire Rack has some great resources for researching tires and different sizes. I have purchased all my tires from them for many years.

I had Yokohama Avid Touring with my 300CD with 15" Bundt wheels, great tire.

This was on my list of tires I could get and afford, but after reading many reviews (they were mostly bad), I decided on the Mastercraft. Only time will tell, but for now, I am very happy with them. I like the tread design the best of all the tires I looked at, and I think I got the best size for the car......Rich

Rich, Unless it is known that the bundts are for an SL, it may be better to mount one tire/rubber assembly vs. all four in case there is a problem with the offset. Check all clearances and go from there. Also check that the offset on all four bundts are the same.

Good luck!!!

I have had the tires/wheels on the car for almost a month.
