Wheels that will Fit 96 C36

I am looking for a set of "roller" wheels for my 1996 Mercedes C36.
What would be a good donor car to source these from?
Will stock wheels from a 1995 Mercedes C280 fit? I am not well versed of hub sizes.

Thanks

Check brake rotor diameters to see if the C36 used larger rotors. The stock 15" wheel might not clear large brakes but is uses the same pattern / hub bore as a regular C .

Worst case I'd expect the 16" from a similar era E ( w210 ) to fit.

If it’s a roller just take the brakes off

Having done this several times on C36 parts cars, you'll need 17s to clear the brakes. Some 17s will need spacers on the front.

I have a set of OZ 17s from a 210 that I use for my C36 parts cars, and they need a 10mm spacer on the front.

I just looked at pics of the car, in this thread https://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/mercedes-benz-cars-sale/400004-fs-1996-mercedes-c36-project-parts-car.html

The RF looks like a 97 era E class W210 16 " wheel , I don't recall this style being made in 17" .

FYI, the front brakes on the C36 were sourced from the R129 SL600 and the rears are from the W124 E420. There's a great article about it here:
