Coil spring removal question
Hello all. Im contemplating on removing my coil springs on my 300CE myself and replacing them with either Eibachs or H&R.
I understand that the springs are housed separate from the shocks which makes it more difficult to remove and install. Anyone tackled this before. Conventional coil spring removal tools would not work as the springs are pretty tightly wound. Any input on the matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Clint |

Do a search!
I am a DIY'er and did it using conventional "NOT MB" tools. Just be real carefull, they are dangerous.
p.s. search is in the right upper corner of this screen.

welcome to the forum.
I tried with a standard sprign compressor and it wouldn't compress the prings enough. I ended up having my mech do it when he redid my tranny. I used 2 bump front 3 bump rear spring pads. I like the fact the car is lower but not slammed. The search feature is an excellent tool that will help you find other posts that have great information. Alon
