I have a 1985 500SL (Euro) AMG lowered with 16" x 7" 225/50's. It is as tight as I want to get. I came across some 15" x 7" rims and thought of using them for softer ride and touring while refinishing the AMG's for sport use.
Question 1 is will the 15" x 7" 15 hole MB rim have the right offset for the 107? Question 2 is what is the minimum suggested cross section to maximize the aspect ratio? (eg: 205/60 versus a 215/55) Thanks all. Steve |

The correct offset is ET25 for the 7 X 15. You can use 205/65 or 215/60 for tires. The 86' and 87' SL came with 7 X 15 with ET25 and 205/65, fyi. Personnally I would opted for the 215/60. Good luck.

I really made a mistake. The rims are a 14", the older deep cast type. Do you recommend the same?
