[201/124] 195 tyres on 6Jx15 rims
I am contemplating putting on a set of Gullideckels (15 hole) onto my 124 (currently on Achtloch rims). The trouble is, the rims I have found are from a 201 and hence have a 6” width as opposed to the 6.5” wide rims installed on the 124.
The standard tyres for my 124 are 195/65R15 and the designated rims are 6.5Jx15, whereas the 201 setup (per factory spec) is 185/65R15 rubber on 6Jx15 wheels. Offset is identical in both cases (ET49). From a practical perspective, has anyone experienced any negative effects of fitting 195/65R15 tyres on the narrower 6Jx15 rims? It is only a half inch difference...

Anything 5.5- 7.0 inches should fit for a 195/65R15.

The offset is different on the 201 and 124. You might want to try on the rims before committing. That .5" difference is all from the outside edge of the rim so they sit very far inside the fender on a 124.
