Custom made 15" rims : perfect width and ET ?

Hello everybody,

I live on a small island in the South Pacific where it is difficult to find parts for my 1982 W123 240D with automatic transmission.
It has original suspension. I may lower it very slightly (-30 mm / -1" or -1.5" maximum /) but not right away.

I am considering having custom made 15" steel rims and fitting 205/60R15 tires on them.

Here comes the questions :
With this in mind, what would be the ideal width and ET for these rims, imagining that these dimensions would be identical for the front and the rear?
Do some of you drive W123 240D auto with 205/60R15 and how does it feel ?

Any feedback or advice will be welcome to prevent me from making mistakes.

Best regards.

PS: French is my native language, I hope I remain understandable.
