w123 rear wheel adjustment

hi there, I just installed new shocks on my 240d and the passenger side wheel is canted in at the bottom a substantial amount. I've heard that it will sort itself out if I just move the car back and forth. what is the cause of this and is there any other way to fix this? thanks for the help.

That will likely do the trick.

It sounds like the alignment might be off or something could be binding in the suspension. Double-check that everything is seated correctly and torqued to spec. If it doesn’t sort itself out after moving the car, you may need an alignment or further inspection for bent or worn components.
