AMG Aero I's- how rare are these for W124?

I have been noticing these Original AMG aero I's and they are really quite tasteful. Kinda like them more than the Aero II's. Looks to me that they aren't in production anymore. Anyone know how rare these things are for a W124? Anyway, thanks in advance.

I think these wheels were put on the AMG-modified 124's. I like them better than the Aero II's as well.

They are definitely rare on 124's! I'd go for them...

Good luck,

"Hammer" rims.......

I believe they were originally put on the AMG Hammer models. They were VERY popular, and they started a myriad of imitators. Once I get my W124, I plan on putting some of these on said car. I am curious as to how hard I am gonna have to hunt for them. Prolly not as hard as I am going to have to hunt for a decent W124......

Something to keep in mind with the original AMG Aero wheels for the Hammer was their offset...the 8x17 were ET 28 and required front fender work on standard W124's.

I recently put on some 7.5x16 et40 amg aero I's on my w124. They fit without any mods. Although they look somewhat dated, I think they look nice on a w124. They were kind of hard to find but they do show up on ebay.

They dont make them anymore, the last they made them was in 2000. There are some with the standard mercedes star, and there are some that just have a regular center cap with nothing on them.

The ones with nothing on the center cap are from early model amg cars in the 1980s. Those wheels fit the W126 and W123 cars really good because the offset is perfect.

W124 cars, they fit on there, but you have to roll the fenders to fit the tires, but if you use 225/45/17 its not too bad. They fit 500E/E500s perfectly.

I have a couple sets of these wheels. Email me when you want to buy them.

AMG Aero I's....

Thanks, man. I will DEFINITELY keep you in mind once the market comes up on those wheels. I have to say that this forum has suprised me so far as to the responses I have gotten and all the information that's been shared. This forum has the best comaraderie that I've seen so far in an auto owner's forum. It's good to know that you've got friends out there like this.

I have another set coming in pretty soon.

I keep buying the ones I see so that I can make the best set.

Unfortunately I just figured out that my 500SL R129 brake upgrade to my w124 300E wont fit these wheels anymore =(

This is one of the best forums I think.
