Alan how's your snow performance with your avid touring? Mine are very quiet too.

What about Continentals? I notice most new Mercedes come from the fatory with Contis installed.

Hated the Continentals

My car came with Conti-Touring Contact tires and I hated them from the word go. Should have argued with the dealer to have them swapped for Michelins. The Conti's had absolutely terrible wet traction. They did, however, wear like iron. I hated them for over 60,000 miles.

I can't tell you how they do in deep snow for it has been a rather weak winter. However, we did get maybe an inch last night, and they did fine. I'll report back if we ever get dumped on.

Ha Ha!

I had a set of old Bridgestones like that. Couldn't get them to balance out for very long, and they would NOT wear out. At that rate, I knew I would never wear them out and swapped them out for something else... life is too short!

Apparently with size 205/70-14, you don't have much of a choice...
