installed front brake dust shields (kleen wheels) :)
Finally got around to installing a set of kleen wheels brake dust shields on our 94 e320 a few weeks ago. Have to say that they have dramatically reduced the amount of times we have to wipe off the brake dust from the front wheels. HUGE kudos to the product manufacturer

Bbrake dust shield have are knwon to cause overheating problems with the brake rotors/pads. They restrict/eliminated the air flow through the wheel causing the brakes to overheat.: result: wrapped rotors, boiling brake fluid.
Take care. jackD |

Thanks for the input. I did alot of research prior to installation and found many folks on both sides of the fence in regards to the shields. Some had problems and many had no problems what so ever.
My wife is the primary driver, she is very easy on the car, very non aggressive driver on very flat surfaces here in Florida. I found most drivers who had problems were in areas with hills and mountains and who were somewhat aggressive in their driving modes. I know these may seem like generalizations but those pretty much sum up my findings. Are your findings from personal experience or just from other folks who have used these items? |

neumann, just make sure you dont visit us over here in the Panhandle, we have roads that reach the dizzying heights of almost 110 feet above sea level, I would never use kleen wheels around the mountains of Crestview.
Bob H. P.S. Sorry just a little FL humor. |
