Hi everyone!
I have an 87 190E-16V and would like to space my rims out about .8" so they're flush with the fenders. I currently own 16 x 7.5 ET 34. So my question is, why is it not advisable to use spacers, if they're hub centric and I have longer lugs? Please help me understand this. Can handling be affected? My car is currently lowered with H&Rs. Please enlighten me!! Thanks!! Daniel 87 190E-16V Blk/Blk 5Spd. BTW: Where can I find lugs that are .5" longer than stock. |

By moving the wheel out you put torsional stress on your bearings and drive line causing premature wear. Also, the suspension geometry will be affected by changing the travel arc of the wheel. Your car will also tend to track abnormally due to the wider stance.
