anyone know if a 2001 E430 rim will work on a 91 W124? The rim size is 17x7.5 and i think the offset is similar...naturally it is suppose to be able to fit but i was wondering since the years is such a huge gap do i need to take that under consideration...thnx for help

Why would the age gap matter? The three most important things are offset, rim width and bolt pattern.

Don't forget backpad length. This tells you if the wheel will clear the calipers.
