FS: 1987 300E low miles great cond.

I have decided to sell my 1987 300E. (I am planning to get a newer Benz with a stick shift). Car is in New Orleans. 88k miles (yes, 88k). Black exterior/palomino (sp? - tan) leather interior. Automatic transmission (the only thing I don't like about it). Runs and drives great. Interior and exterior in great condition. The original paint looks better than most new cars. Rear seats and trunk look new. Engine compartment very clean. Front seats and carpets in excellent shape. A few very small dings on outside (no paint damage, just dings) but that's it. Very well maintained. AC works great. Features/options: factory alarm, cruise control, power sliding/tilting moonroof, power windows/mirror, pwr. front seats; pwr. antenna, ps, pb, tint, folding rear headrests, Pioneer in-dash CD professionally installed, Mercedes floormats, ABS, pwr. telescoping str. wheel, power locks, driver air bag. Michelin tires on factory forged wheels. Full size spare that has never been used.

Recently done (w/in last 6k miles) using only factory or German OEM quality (Mahle/Mann/Bosch/Beru/Fabi) replacement parts: new sepentine belt & belt tensioner, fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, dist. cap & rotor, plug wires, differential fluid (Redline), trans. filter & fluid, radiator cap, coolant, ps fluid, ps pump filter, windshield and headlight wiper blades, all door check straps (which were starting to creak because dried out), new gaskets on oil and gas filler caps, new steering dampner, and that's only what I can remember off top of my head. As you can see, I'm a maintenance nut. The indep. Mercedes mechanic who did some of the maintenance when told me this car has been very well maintained and had recently had newer front tie rod ends. Regular oil changes every 4k miles using synthetic blend. The AC drier was recently replaced (it had a slow leak) and the ac charged. That and the minor stuff listed below are the only problems the car has given me; everything else was preventative maintenance.

It has a few very minor issues which I'll disclose up front: Rear driver side window not working. Driver window has slight gap at top when closed; must be off by a tooth or something on the regulator. One of the turn signal indicators on the dash not working (the exterior turn signals & hazards work perfectly). The washer reservoir light stays on. The windshield washer is working intermittently; may have bad connection somewhere. One of the ashtrays in the rear doesn't open right. And the odometer went on the fritz this past June when I hit the reset while car was moving, which I since learned is not a good idea (it can be fixed for $60; It stopped at 86.7k miles in June and I only drive the car about 400 miles a month -- I have another car).

History of the car, accoring to PO: bought new by a retired doctor in 1987 who owned it until late 90s, then an engineer bought it and drove it only on weekends until he bought a new car, and I (certified car nut) have owned it since 2/02. Car has spent entire life in New Orleans (no salt on the roads).

Asking $4300. I also have a couple of things that I plan to keep in case I acquire another 124 later (maybe a 400/500E or 5 speed 300E), but I could be persuaded to include with the car for a reasonable price: Euro headlights with Euro headlight washers, and Rainbow (made in Germany) two-way speakers front and rear. Serious inquiries only please. I can take and email pics if interested. See my ebay feedback under "schumicat".
