FS: 73 280sel 4.5
Yes, it's with a heavy heart that I offer up my beloved 108 for sale- changing life situations (moved and my commute doubled, my partner is away at law school during the week, etc, etc) dictate my decision to sell- I never imagined selling this car. That said, if you are interested in a great-driving and great-looking example of the 108 w/4.5 V8, email me for more info- I hate to do ebay, and really won't sell the car to just anybody, so that's why I am putting here on the board- I have gotten tons of helpful info and advice from the members on this board.
Very quickly: maple yellow/dark brown, sunroof, Hellas, all-new stereo system w/ speakers in stock locations, looks good in and out. All kinds of work done, some highlights: full stainless exhaust, 4 new tires on bundt cake alloys (have steel wheels/hubcaps too), windshield, subframe mounts. PO did some major stuff, too, like A/C rebuild, blower motor, timing chain, new front brakes (calipers, etc), OE radiator. Car needs the valve seals done, which I simply have not gotten around to scheduling yet, and there is a slow pwr steering leak (which I think is the low pressure hose, but I also have a spare pump, re-sealed, to include). As she is right now, I am thinking high 5's, which is entirely realistic (subject to change if I get her in for the valve seals in the near future). This is not a rusted-out beater, just passed VA state inspection, used daily between Charlottesville and Richmond, VA. Fully-sorted and drives great. Please email if interested, and I'll happily answer any/all questions. Thanks, JAS

Yo JAS, I fondly recall some our exchanges in the past on the vintage forum. If I wouldn't catch holy hell from my spousal unit (we have five vehicles now not counting tractors, canoes, and kayak), your ride would be mine in a flash It would be so-o-o cool to have two 108s in fine shape.
Anyhoo, good luck with the sale. Hope my post did not give you a jolt of false hope... kpb |

kbp-
Yes of course, I remember from the vintage forum- haven't been there a lot lately, but I can say with conviction that the forum has made my experience with the car that much easier and enjoyable in terms of figuring things out. I understand about the stable being full... I might keep the 108, not sure I can handle saying goodbye...but we'll see. I won't send her home with just anybody either...! Cheers, JAS |
