Jim, what are the details of your warranty to last until 2009? I just bought the same car you purchased, but mine isn't a wagon. We have 14k miles and 9 months of factory warranty. I might like to get mine warranty covered until 2009, too.

Please advise. BTW, we're likely to live within the same small radius. We're far north Dallas, which is basically south Plano.

I purchased my wagon pre-depreciated. (OK, it's used.) It's a late 2001 car, so the factory warranty runs until ~May 2005. The car only has 23K miles on it, so the warranty is going to run out on time, not mileage.

It's Starmarked, so that adds another year - May 2006. I purchased the three year Starmark extension, so May, 2009. Granted, Starmark isn't the same as the original bumper-to-bumper warranty, but it's still pretty darn good.

Not sure what your options are with a car you already own. Since it's under factory warranty you can investigate what MB might sell - I'm not familiar with their warranty extension options.
