Wanted - 190D 2.5 Manual
Put my name on the list of people who want a 190D with a manual trans. I'm in Festus, MO. I'm hoping to find something in the $3-4K range, but will consider any and all cars with the 2.5 engine and a 5-speed. Will consider partial trade for my '80 300SD (a nice clean, comfortable car).
I'll consider myself lucky if I find one before the end of the year. SteveM.

Lenses
Hari:
The lenses work great, thank you very much. The difference is very pronounced between the dim, round, DOT spec lights, and the nice, bright Hella's. Thanks again, Steve.

Steve
I talked to the guy in atlanta that I mentioned to you that has a 2.2l manual. the car he has has 250K on it. He couln't give me very good feedback on its pickup since he didnt drive it very often. he said it is certanly slower than a 3liter turbo for sure. He was hedging on if he was even going to sell it and said he would make a final decision by the end of this week. I think he is realizing that it is a real uncommon car. It is not test drivable at the moment due to a radiator problem that he is waiting on a part for. Hopefully soon I will be driving down there to buy some filtered waste vedgtable oil from him and can maybee plan that trip around a test drive of his car. Eric Z Chattanooga TN |

Availability
The 190D 2.5 (non turbo) with manual transmission most definitely was available in US Specs. That is what I'm looking for. There are a few listed for sale around the US right now. They are not especially common, but were definitely made for the US market.
That being said, there may not have been any 1987 190D 2.5T (one-year only turbo for the US market) cars available with the 5-speed manual trans. Many people say that these cars were only available with the auto trans. Others say that the manual was available. I don't know, and don't really care too much, as I'm not even trying to look for a turbo model. They are much more rare than the non-turbo version, and also much more pricey. SteveM.

Nice automatic
I have a one owner 1987 190D 2.5 automatic for sale. This car is almost perfect and is truly a low mileage car with 58,000 original miles. A California car with Grey MB TEX and white outside. Automatic is fast, smooth and I get 30+ MPG. Give me a call if interested. 561 301 7885
