1985 td parts car

I have a 1985 td that I have been using as a parts car. It was totaled in April 2003 with 218,000. Engine and transmission were in good shape then. Essentially what is left is the chassis, all doors, rear gate, engine, trans, turbo, third seat, and tons of misc. stuff.

I have been directed by the local zoning officer to remove the car ASAP or face fines.

The car will need to be towed out of my house. I am not interested in parting out since I have no time. I will entertain any and all offers. I would like to recoup some of the costs of the by-back from the insurance company and the towing.

Last, I will be out of town for most of the week. E-mail to p_szmaida@att.net may be the best way to reach me. I will try to answer questions as soon as I can.

I want to offer this to the community first before I have to resort to having it towed to the scrap yard.

I had my business trip cancelled. Let me know if you can use this car. If not, the zoning officer is going to make me get rid of it. E-mail or PM if interested.

I know you didn't want to part out, but..

Please....please..I really need the chrome and black rear trim piece off the gate. I'm in Morris county, but I'm overseas on a trip and will be returning to Florham Park, NJ on the 29th.
If it's in good shape, with no dents, etc., please do what you can to remove it and I'll pay you what you think is fair. Also, if you have the crossbars for the roof rack, that would be nice, too.
The rear trim piece Is held on with the plugs on the ends and I've heard 2 screws w/ nuts for the middle connection points to the body from the inside of the gate.
Tis is really the only part I need and would really appreciate any help you could offer in making the extra effort for a loyal forum member in NJ with a n 83 300TD. There aren't too many of us.
Best regards,
Chris

Chris,

Still working in Parsippany? I will check the condition and ease of removal for you. I think that the cross bars are spoken for by me brother. Give me a few days, work has been a killer.

Hold on...

What color is the interior? I need some rear carpet and some other parts. (Inside glove box door, visor mirrors, and a few others...)

Let me know.

Thanks!

Pete

The visors are not available and the carpet has been water damaged from a leak. The glove box door is new. I replaced that shortly before the accident. Let me know because there isn't much time left. You cam PM me or send a e-mail to address above.

IP Vacuum Valve

Hi,
I am looking for the IP vacuum valve that mounts on the pump and supplies vacuum/pressure to trans shift modulator. It should be relatively simple to remove. Too bad you are so far away(I live in FL). I might need a transmission.
Thanks,
Lee

I sent you an email to your AT&T address. Yes and No for Parsippany, long story.

I could go and try to remove with permission if necessary.
