1986 300 Sdl
I traded in my 1986 300SDL
Black/tan interior 171k miles New suspension Sept 2004 New belt tensioner New Water pump New Vacuum Pump New Oil Pan Brakes and rotars about a year old. New Shocks Changed oil every 3k miles New Motor Mounts New Sway bars New Altenator New Monovalve All totaled about $5400. in R&R on this car since the beginning of 2004 Things that need to be done are: A/C and Heater do work but most likely it needs a Climate Control. Sunroof needs to be on tracks and working Back of driver seat needs to be fastened, it falls off. Seats need new pads and springs Dash is cracked, but could either get a dash cap or if you want to really spend about $1000, and get a new one. I was working to get this car into excellent shape but a career move forced me to get a truck. I'll probably get back into the MB cars soon. I traded it into a dealer here in Austin, Texas. Drove by the Dealer yesterday and the car is still there for anyone interested. The salesman said, $8k and that they'd probably send it off to the Auction house next week. I'm not sure if he was just jerking my chain or what.

He'd Be lucky To Get $3500 At Auction, Unless There Is A Dealer With A Passion For One Who Hikes The Bid Up. Heck I Bought My 300sdl At Auction 6 Years Ago At A Mb Credit Auction, It Was A PREVIOUS Lease Return That Was THEN Sold As "mb Certified" Then On The Last Year Of The Loan It Got Repo 'd, And I Paid Top Dollar Of $7000, And I Hadn't Even Seen It When I Was Previewing, So I Bid Knowing Only It Was The Color Combo I Liked. Luckily Upon Closer Inspection I Found It Had A Custom $5000 Rockford Fosgate System In It :d, But Then I Had My La Mechanic Put Another $3000 In Maintenance....this Was All Before I Knew About Any 603 "head" Issues.
