~185K miles. Automatic. Bought it with 108K miles in May of 2000. It's hard to let it go. It is the first car I ever bought. Would make a great parts car or a terrific car if someone wants to repair what's wrong with it.

The car has never been in an accident and the interior is in excellent shape.

Here's what I know it needs.

-A new head gasket, and given the mileage, probably a head job
-rear discs and pads
-A/C has a leak so it needs to be recharged every year (but has always worked)
-Odomoter froze at 170K miles
-Check engine light is on, so probably an O2 sensor
-Tilt/height adjustments on driver's power seat don't work

That's about it. Everything else works. All power motors, etc. The car has been taken care of but it has been driven year-round and has a lot of miles, but when clean it still looks amazing.

Here's what has been replaced and how many miles ago (approx):

-Center and rear mufflers (2K - did this last December)
-Struts and shocks (25K)
-Alternator (10K)
-All brake discs, pads, brake lines, brake fluid flush (20K)
-Tranny fluid and filter (10K)
-K&N filter (20K)
-Valve seals and valve cover gasket (10K)
-I have a custom high-quality water-proof cover for it ($250 new and barely used)
-I have a 2nd set of alloy wheels with Blizzak WS-50's for it (20K miles on them)
-Dunlop All-seasons have less than 10K miles on them

I'm selling it because I got a BMW 330i new in 2003 and kept the 190E as a 2nd car for my wife while she was in school. Now she works downtown and takes the train, so we don't really need a 2nd car anyway. That is why I've decided I do not have the time and more importantly, the inclination to repair my 190E.

I am not sure what the market on a car like this is.

$1500 o.b.o

I'm on Rte 128 near Boston.
