'88 300E For Sale

Pearl Grey 300E that has been my daily driver for the last 4 1/2 years. Very well maintained by european auto technitions, with the maintanance and history all documented. Recently came across a deal I could not pass up on an '00 Audi A8, and now I have 4 cars with two drivers and a less than understanding wife.

The body does have minimal rust around the jackpoints, otherwise the body is in great shape. Light grey MBText interior in very good condition. I have replaced the headlights with Bosch Euro lights, new brakes (rotors, pads & sensors) all around in 11/04, new tires 6/04, new fan clutch (bearings, motor) and serpentine belt 9/04, rear control arms 10/04, replaced all struts and shocks in '04 with Bilsteins, 4 wheel alignment 12/04, replaced engine and trans mounts 2/04, rebuilt Mercedes transmission from Sun Valley 3/04 (what a difference!), new center and rear muffler '04.

In the last two years, I have had the valve stem seals replaced (guides looked good), timing chain, guides and rails, replaced Behr radiator, bosch waterpump, Air switched over to R34.

In the spring, summer and fall it wears 8 hole C class rims, in the winter I have the original 15 hole rims, which were professionally resprayed 2 years ago, with 1 year old snow tires.

Typical of this model, the odometer shaft slides out and stops recording milage. I had the shaft pushed back into sync with the gears last spring and it held for about 4,000 miles and worked its way back out again. My best guess as to mileage on this car is around 165,000 to 170,000. I will allow independant inspections...nothing to hide, its very well documented.

If you would like to see pics, please send an email to emeier@insightbb.com. I could not get the photos to compress and upload to this listing.

$3,000 or best offer. The car is located in Indianapolis.

Eric
