I am considering selling my 1992 500E. Its not that I don't love this car ( I do ) but after 7 years I am bored and ready for my next power toy. I am the third owner of the car and have records of every service ever done on the car. The car is in mint condition and has just over 100K miles. I have invested quite a bit in the vehicle including:
- Body customization:
1. 94 Facelift ( Hood, Euro E-Codes, Custom Sport Grille painted to match)
2. New paint on side skirts/bumpers making the car monochrome, De-badged. ( Pearl black ) ( 1 & 2 = $7K+, completed 3/03 )
- Fully restored to factory new suspension (4K Miles ago). This means Springs, struts, towers, ball joints, hydro shocks, pressure resevoirs were all replaced with new parts from Germany. Car rides like the day it left the showroom. ( $4K, completed 1/03 )
- ASR Defeat Switch
- New factory vacuum valve ( Previous owner made 1st shift start modification to transmission, I reversed this back to factory original ).
- New tires( MI Pilot Sport ZR17) and 17" AMG Rims (Additional 4 tires and rims ...have to check the tire type, rims are the originals )
- New front rotors, pads, etc...
- New custom sound system w/Alpine head and Acoustic Research Speakers w/subwoofer and amp in truck, 6 cd changer, integrated ipod hook up and controls. ($1.5K, 5/03 )
- It has been meticulously cared for and routinely serviced over the 7 years I have owned the vehicle. This car has only be driven in good weather. I bought the car with 68K miles and have averaged less than 5K a year since purchased.

This car has never been in an accident of any sort and I have never had any mechanical problems of any sort. Garage kept. If you have interest in this vehicle and would like to make a serious offer.
