1989 190d
Time to move on. I found a 190 2.3 16V so I'm going to replace my daily driver.
I bought the car in Birgmingham, AL in Spring '03. It had lived in Alabama all its life (no block heater......). Bought it with 178K on it. The trans was replaced at 150K. Been driving it everyday since. The odometer stopped working at 209K during our move to Delaware. I have driven it out here the past year, so actual mileage would be in the 230K range. Here's the specs: 1989 190D 2.5, 33+ MPG. I have replaced inner and outer tie rod ends and lower ball joints. Replaced the relay for the glow plugs last year (one glow plug just went out and I should have that fixed in a week...). Also replaced the Overvoltage relay last month. Also replace voltage regulator and thermostat last month. Car is Cream and tan (Tan lower panels) with the tan MBtex interior. Front seats have been covered since I owned it. Car has an Alpine head unit, two alpine amps and 10" Alpine sub. Speakers were relaced with infinity Kappa series. Euro Headlights (H4) and clear corners added in January A/C works but seems to have a slow leak. It was converted to R134 before I bought it. Last summer I was adding about 1 can a month of refridgerant. Drivers side rear window has a short in the wiring somwhere. I can raise and lower the window by putting power on the switch, but not by using either switch. Drivers side headrest won't go up. I Live in Delaware (work in Philly). The car has never failed to get me to work for the last 3 years. I sold my SL320 last year and just need something sporty again. Asking $4000 OBO I'll post some pictures as soon as I can borrow a digital cam. E-mail me any question. John@jskibo.com
