500sec for sale

this is a two owner car with all records. the first owner was a rich guy here in lafayette who bought it new for $57,000, and in 18 years drove it 80,000 miles. i bought it three years ago and have put 45,000 miles on it.

it is silver with navy leather. 125,000 miles runs strong with no blowby. it has recent front end work, bilsteins, ac, michelins and windshield.

cosmetically very good. the dash has some professionally repaired cracks. the seats are very good but not perfect. there was a cut in the front pass seat that has been professionally repaired. there is a cigarette burn in one side in the back. there is one rust bubble about the size of a quarter on the drivers side at the front of the back wheel well. i had it ziebarted when i bought it to stop any rust from forming and or the little bubble from getting bigger.

although the motor is only rated at 185 hp the torque is 250 and the car feels plenty fast if you push it. the cornering is very sporty. it is an excellent gentlemans express excellent for covering many miles in a day.

although it is not an economy car it is almost as cheap to operate as a diesel since it will get 19 on the hiway at 72 and burns just regular... a major savings. although it is a 126 i found that the technology is very simple and it is very inexpensive to operate, rugged and durable.

the ac will blow you away in the summer and the heated seats will coddle you in the winter. sony cd player.

$4,795. phone 765 490 0275 email office tomwa@insightbb.com, home walgamuth@insightbb.com

Adding up the years of ownership, and interpreting the original price, I'm assuming this is a 1984 500SEC?
