COOL... a rare example of a w123 "250 lang" ...and yes, those factory 15" wheels w/ 15" hubcaps are very rare indeed!

That's Dan Penoff's car. Dan is a perfectionist. We used to call him the Martha Stewart of the mercedes world because of the attention he pays to detail. I remember when he did the carb conversion on that car. It took him forever to get the accelerator linkage looking "just right". Heck, it worked from day one, but he wanted it to look good too.

If you want a truely lovely ride, there it is. Personally, I love the velour interior. I'd be buying it myself if I didn't just buy a 300se LWB finback.

YES, 100% factory original authentic genuine... you catch my drift...
The Euro-spec W123 Lang's (long-wheelbase) were for NON-USA dealer markets. So if you see any here in the States, they were definitely imported privately.

quite factory original, except the carb. The new carb is far superior. yeah, I bid, my max unfortunately. I suspect the car will reach a good 4-5k. It's worth it. -CTH

Now is this W126 (limo) a conversion? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember MB releasing a factory-built production-line assembled long-wheelbase (or limo) W126?? It is quite nice however... it would be a sight to own both a W123 and a W126 limos... then you can start-up a retro-MB limo service.

i was seriously thinking about it! it took forever to sell that car. i even drove it to texas from new mexico (i was going anyway, just not in the limo) to have some buyer flake on me for no reason. that car was really nice. 1983 500 sel w/ 74,000 original miles

Didn't Dan sell one of those to get the LWB?

I met him in this area when he was out here to get the W112 (or was is a W111) a few years ago.
