mercedes 6.9 runs $350

I know nothing of this car I just came across the add it is in the SF bay area Mercedes classic "6.9" sel sedan 1977 (photos) - $350 (burlingame) http://www.craigslist.org/pen/car/93351134.htm

I thought about it

I thought about it for a moment and called the guy to tell him I would be there in an hour with cash. He said he sold it half an hour ago god that would have been a fun car except at the gas pump.

Dang, the hydraulic switches alone would have been worth a few grand. If you see something like that again, let me know.

I could cry

I could cry that I missed it by half an hour at least I wont pay the fuel bill. That doesnt make it any better it looked good in the pictures.

Yep, I meant the levelling valves and any of the gear associated with the suspension Sorry it was 90F at work and the company is too cheap to turn on the AC I wasn't thinking straight

The 600 has hydraulically actuated switchgear?

The 600 has hydraulically actuated switchgear?

The early ones had hydraulic seats/windows/doors/trunk.

The 4 way window switch in the drivers door goes for $9800 new.

Is the switch for the windows that complicated? For $9800 I think someone could fabricate it from platinum and deliver it in a carbon fiber package. The system sounds like a pending disaster for leaks.

Is the system made of pistons, feed and return lines?
