Putting my mercedes 85 300 SD back up online

What I have done to this car:
New Motor Mounts
Replaced radiator with a good condition one.
New Blower motor
New Brake Master cylinder
New callipers
Generic tires but they have about 15000 miles on them and are in excellent shape
New water pump

Car has rear end damage from a wreck but the trunk will open and close with effort but does not seal. The wreck did not effect the handling of the car. Just the rear appearance. Car is very driveable and even the tail lights work.

No history before I bought it. It has been kind of a hands on learning experience for me.

Since I have owned this car I have changed the oil every 3000 and changed the transmission fluid about 10K ago.

This is not the original engine. It usually does not consume or leak a quart of oil between changes. It did when I first got it.

I really believe this car has quite a few more miles in it if taken care of. Look at the pictures and we can talk about what you would like to pay. I will also include maintenance items and instructions for someone who wants them and wants to learn

My driveway is going to be crowded. I need to get rid of it soon. I would like for this car to go to a good home where it can be parted out or driven. I would part it out myself but I don't have a good place to keep it and I don't think I'm going to take it down to my inlaws to store there. I hate to send it to salvage at a bottom basement price

Yep. I've got it now. This one has a good many little projects to work on. The first....find someone to push all this sheetmetal back in place so the trunk will seal.....


This thing rides like butter compared to my Wrangler....and it can go through the mountains @ 70, and it gets almost 3x the gas milage. Finally, after reading this board forever, I've got a biodiesel project and my first diesel. Thanks Jim.
