300CD Excellent Shape in Dallas - $2000!
I sent my wife to Ewing ******** MBZ dealer in Plano yesterday to pick up some parts while I was at work. The parts man told her about a regular customer whose child I believe was just diagnosed with autism or some other disorder. Anyway, he is selling everything he owns, including his 300CD.
I have no idea what year it is or what condition it is in. He told my wife it is somewhere "in the back" and that he would buy it in a heartbeat if he didn't just pay for a vacation he is taking with his college-age daughter. Supposedly, according to the parts guy, this thing is in awesome shape and runs excellent. He claims at the asking price of $2,000 it is a steal. Apparently it comes with approx. $1,000 of front end parts sitting in the trunk - they just need to be installed. I think he said everything was in great shape but the owner was going to refresh the front end for good measure. I don't know what the front end parts are, but judging from the description it would seem to be bushings, etc. Anyway, if I hadn't just bought my current project car, I would jump on this $2,000 300CD that is supposedly in excellent shape. Just thought I'd pass it on in case someone else wants to investigate further. Better move fast - if this deal is as good as it seems, it won't last long...

Just called and the parts guy said the owner picked it up, it was sold.
He got $3000 for it a 79 300CD with $1200 in parts in the trunk. Dave
