While I agree the price is fairly steep for this car.. it *does* have low miles, and is in pretty good shape. Though, I personally wouldn't even consider it, until it fell into the 12-15k range, on my budget. Low end, the thing is probably at least 14k. High end? Well, whatever people decide it's worth, I suppose. Though, I think the "high end" for this particular vehicle is more around 22k, personally.

Yes, it's a nice car.. but you can get a fully restored 1950's vehicle for 32k (if you want a real head-turner).. $18-20k is more on-target, IMHO.

Hang in there and ask what you want. Everybody always has an opinion of what they think a car should sell for, but usually none of them have the money anyway. Someone will come along that is willing to pay what you feel is a fair price. Good luck with your sale, you have a beautiful car.

opps...the car has 26K not 32K.
I am asking 32K.
The believed the purpose of this board was for those of us with a car 4 sale to list..not to get flamed or to garner stupid comments.
I think everyone is entitled to an opinion but being rude is another issue.

Let me be the first to say, that I think you're taking a bit much offense, here. Nobody is "flaming" you.. and everybody is entitled to their own opinion. My original comment, was intended to *help* you sell the vehicle, not insult anybody.

Granted, there was one or two less-than-helpful comments.. but there were definately no insults. I suppose you're entitled to your own opinion, as well.. however, I simply don't see how anybody has been "rude" here. Have a beer, and relax a bit.. nobody's meant any harm, here.

Thumbs up Good luck in your sale, best wishes

I saw a 1995 E300D a few months back with less than 20K miles for around $24,ooo. If I saw that again, I will definately offer the buyer $20K for it. I know that even that car is not worth the $20K but these cars are NOT meant for everyday "us regular" people. There are enthusiasts with BIG BUCKS who will pay. All you need is one person.
If you are not hurting for cash, DON'T try to "unload it" quickly. You will see that waiting months to get the "right" buyer will be worth it.
Cheers

that you are being unfairly flamed, so since i am a really nice polite guy you should sell it to me for 17k.

An E300D with less than 20K miles would be worth $20K+ to me just as someone that wants a low mile 500E will pay top dollar. And you're right, only takes one buyer.

To the seller of the car good luck with the sale.

Here's one with a history of winning concours events, but I think it's sold.
