Wanted: 20' 10-12000lb GVWR tagalong flatbed trailer

I'm looking for one of these in Texas. Must be a tagalong (not a gooseneck) and in reasonably good condition (ie brakes work, tires OK so that I can use it right away). I can buy a new one for $3850 so a used price should be realistic.

Somthing like this:Flatbed Trailer

If you're trying to pull a car, I wouldn't do it unless you intend to do it every week. You'll find that Uhaul rents trailers at a very affordable rate; on the order of 60$/day and that includes insurance. You can do 50 days of towing for that new trailer price. Then add on the cost of insurance, maintenance and having a place to put it.

Thanks for the lead!

I'm rethinking the flatbed thing. The only reason I really need a flatbed is a one-time-haul of a TEU CONEX from Dickinson up to the farm. After that it's mainly for hay and taking Henrietta the tractor for a ride.

Since a 10k lbs+ pipe rail trailer is more common (and cheaper) than a flatbed, I'm thinking that I can get a pipe rail, build some timber cribbing to support the CONEX above the pipe, strap it down and go.

Whaddya think?

I've got a 16' utility tandem, new wheels/tires electric brakes, ect... but it's only got 3500 axles under it and 5 lug 15 inch rims. It's good for hauling cars or whatever, pulls good, but nothing HEAVY if you want it to last. $1000.00 with title.

BTW, this isn't one of the cheap ones you can get new (no brakes/used tires) for $795.00.

Thanx for the offer but we already have a 16' w/o brakes...you're too far away too. Plus, I need something with at least 10000lb GVWR and 20' long in order to carry the TEU (20 foot container).

I thought alot about that but, 1) when the CONEX comes up, I would have to deadhead the trailer back to the Houston/Galveston area, 2) when I start building my house, I'll need it on a fairly regular basis to haul materials to the farm and building site and 3) farms always need big trailers.
