WTB 280SEL or 300SEL V8s in or near Atlanta
Looking for a 280SEL or 300SEL with a good body and cosmetics. Does not need to be running as I have the engine and tranny from my old car that can go in.
Prefer the long wheelbase cars and prefer them to be within 150 miles of Atlanta so that I can view them.

Not giving up?...
Al:
I have been following your story on the 6.9 but my memory fails me - was it the 6.9 that got rear ended or your other one? Kevin

Rear End
It was the 73 280SEL that was rear ended. The 6.9 is still in good shape fortunatly.

Have you heard from your insurance company on whether or not they're going to total it?

Insurance
I have not heard from them as of yet, but I am pretty sure they will. I took it to a guy who said it will need at least one quarter and a rear panel. He did'nt even want to quote a price. The guys who did my 6.9 said that they will pull and beat everything back into shape and paint the whole car. As usual they came in nice and low which gives me options. The other party's insurance company is going to have a look at the car tomorow. We will see how it goes.
