1985 300SD

For Sale 1985 Mercedes 300sd

Silver - Gray on Blue Leather

301k. This is a good running car that has had a lot of work performed recently.

Here is what was done:

Transmission Rebuilt @290k

The following was performed 9/05

New Battery
New Glow Plug Relay
5 New Glow Plugs
Front Brakes – Rotors, Pads and Sensors
New Radiator and hoses
New Exhaust motor to rear muffler
New Driver’s window motor
New Power Antenna
New Power Lock Pump (motor)
New Diesel Fuel By-pass hoses
Drivers side hub bearing replaced
Oil Change
Air Filter

This is a good running car. I have been driving it daily for the past 3 months and it has not let me down at all. It still has good power and the turbo kicks. This car has more power than my 84 300sd with half the miles!

The interior is really very nice. No rips or tears in the leather at all. I shampooed the rugs and they look great! All 4 windows and sunroof work fine! Original Radio Becker Grand Prix works! Both Power seats function in all directions. All gauges work expect clock. All exterior lights function. This is one of the nicest interiors I have seen on a 300k car! Vehicle has been repainted and paint is fair. Has typical midwest rust on doors where the cladding begins...can be repaired.

This would be an ideal vehicle to convert to a biodiesel WVO. I was going to do that, but I found an SDL that I am converting instead. I am just looking to get out what I have in the car.

I cut the price a couple hundred. $2400/obo or trades considered. Would make a great Holiday Gift!

By the way. It's 8 degrees outside and the old MB diesel started up right away. She's not even plugged in!

Update...Did some more work today. Found some diesel fuel on the ground.
Fuel Line Replaced while I was under there...
Oil Cooler Line Replaced
Trans Cooler Line Replaced

Dave,

The rust is primarily where the doors meet that cladding, some in the rear wheel wells and starting by the jacking points. Typical spots. The previous owner did some rust repair when the car was repainted where the rear qp meets the rear doors. I believe the rust can be repaired, but I have too many projects.

Please see above for details. Vehicle is still available. I have over $4k in receipts including a trans. rebuild at 290k. I have received messages about parting it, but would prefer to sell whole as it is a great driver.

Please ask any questions...clear clean title...I'm the 2nd owner.

It's a great running car. Best offer over $2,100 gets her.

Open to lower mile diesel trades or partial diesel trades. 300SD, 300TD Wagon, 300SDL. If not I may keep and do the remaining work.
