Did ayone else miss this?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mercedes-1986-300E-5-SPEED-rare-clean-car-124_W0QQitemZ4632319623QQcategoryZ6335QQcmdZViewItem

I Googled "300e 5 speed" and this was the first link.

Almost every day a search Ebay for "mercedes - manual transmission" with no other parameters, and this car never appeared in my searches. I wonder if that explains the 'low' high bid?

Can't help feeling jipped. Can Ebay be trusted?

It received a fair amount of attention with 694 hits. I fear the infamous rust belt syndrome.

Thats what I'm thinking. I called the dealer and he said it was bought by a guy in the neighborhood who didn't particularly want a Mercedes, just a daily driver, lucky Bast@rd !

I've seen ones with visable rust in several places go for almost twice that though.

Has anyone else had this experience?.. where you are looking for something on ebay and your search does not find it even though it is an active item and your search should return it. I realise it was a concidence that I discovered this quirk... anyway.
