This 300SL is special because we had a custom soft top (Porsche gray - see: http://www.gahh.com/index.php) installed on it in 2002 at Guy's in Portland. Cost $2000. Because the car is Pearl Gray (original paint) with a light dove gray leather interior, it is the only one like it anywhere and it is a beauty! The hard top is the same color as the car. Also, I installed the factory 1997 center console cup holders which were not an option in earlier models. New hood pad in 2003 and new battery late 2005. Thats the same color combination as my 560SEL... I will tell you this, I've not seen any other car in this color before. Its really a nice color.. and is similar to the grey metallic colors that many Audi's/VW's/Porsche's have out now.

Thanks for mentioning the rare color. I have only seen 1 other 129 SL in this color and it was in an early 90s movie or TV show. It had an off white interior that looked a little odd with the body color. Here's a pic of the car that I was not able to show in the ad when I posted it. Craig

mine has 85k and is rust-free. the paint is not as good, but i would stack up my interior against most i've seen....no crazy offers here....i would welcome that at this point at least i would know that the ad was posted
