Can this 91 200TE be legally imported?
This is at least the 2nd time I've seen it listed on the USA Ebay site: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4640834586&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

It is a unique ride, but really,,, a regular TE with the 104 engine will keep you happy.

As stated, with money, anything is possible: here is an interesting page:
http://www.foreignborn.com/visas_imm/entering_us/7importingyourcar.htm#prior Looks to me it will be easier to do if you can wait another 10 years!

It can be legally imported into Canada, and from Canada there are ways to get it into the US, I think some states will let these cars in if they have a VIN number issued from Canada...

That car is not worth the cost of "federalization",it is a useless POS,that 200' engine will not move the thing...think about the 2.3(identical except displacement) in the 190,it runs, not very peppy, needs headgaskets, valves done and so on...the Wagon is heavy, with a small engine like that, used to be a car made for in town delivery or fleet in Europe.I had a 1983,grey market 200 with the same power train(W123 body),it could not get out of his own way and it burned oil all the time...you might be able to use the nice looking body and the trannie...cheeper to import as a part car.
