Ok gang, here's the story: Last July, I bought an 84 300SD (which will be for sale soon), and this 81 300SD came with it. The 81 300SD is currently for sale.

The story, according to the PO, was that he hit a deer in the 84, and bought the 81 for the front end parts. He bought the 81 in running condition from a friend in Michigan, and drove it back to Indiana. He removed the fan, radiator, alternator, and swapped the hoods and the headlights. The PO claims (I have no way to verify this) that the engine in the 81 has only 70K miles on it. The odometer reads around 275K, if I remember correctly.

Only days after buying these cars, I was offered a job in Portland Oregon, and packed up and moved. The 81 has been in storage in Indiana ever since. I'm going to be in town 5/24-5/29, and would like to get rid of it while I'm there.

The interior is pretty beat, and the body has some nasty cancer (michigan car). I am sure the car is missing the following: alternator, radiator, fan, battery, cruise control module. I have never had the car running, so I can't tell you how it runs or drives.

A few brand new pieces came with the car when I bought it, and I'll throw them in if you're interested. There's a new grill, sunroof seals, a rear window seal, fan, fan shroud, r134 kit, and AC drier.

I do have a signed title for this car, however I have never transferred it to my name, nor did the previous owner transfer it to his.
