Someone is really going to enjoy that wagon. It is so nice, it had better go to a good home.

Deja vu all over again??

Is this a relisting? There was another recent thread on this car, I'm sure of it, there was mention of Doctors not taking good care of their cars.

There was a discussion on doctors and their cars in a post awhile back.

This isn't a relisting, I never tried to sell this wagon before. I have the fear that it'll become someone's Veggie-car, but I also think that most Veggie-guys won't pay top dollar for a wagon of this condition. Odds are, only a MB enthusiast will pay what this one's worth. We'll see.

Regardless, the quality of e-mails I've been receiving about the auction is almost getting repulsive. Ebay may be a good forum to sell things, but I'm starting to wonder about the "quality" of the average purchaser. Frustrating, to say the least; there's more underhanded crap on ebay than I've ever seen before. It's very disillusioning.

I guess if you don't like the guy or girl you can just not sell it to them if you are really concerned. Good luck with the sale and don't let the diesel newbies get you down.

I bought a 300D on ebay about 2 weeks ago. Worst decision ever. I will NEVER buy another car on ebay. Well, except this one maybe. If I had the coin!

that's one very nice 300TD! it's exactly the car I want, someday. I think by the time I can afford a decent one they'll be really hard to find in that condition.

Hopefully some tool doesn't buy it and mess it up!

if it doesn't sell I'll trade ya for my GTi, that's a smaller cheeper 4th car has a brand new tranny/clutch, getting a new radiator shortly as well as a new front bumper and fender trim. everything works even the A/C

The condition of your car reminds me of a line from movie The Sound of Music.

Towards the end of the movie the family is attempting to sneak away from the home. The family is found by Herr Zeller and his Nazi attaché. A brief conversation begins with the Captain claiming that the car (a Mercedes) will not start. Herr Zeller orders one of the Nazis to start the car. The car starts immediately and Herr Zeller states, "Excellent car."

Whenever I see an older Merc in really nice condition I think of that line..."Excellent car".

P.S. Does anyone know what year and model of Merc is driven by Captain von Trapp?

Ebay Good and Bad

I only bought one car off ebay. a 1982 Mercedes 300SD. I was able to drive the car and look it over. I was happy. I'd never buy one I couldn't see. But this one looks nice. lol. Big Coin however.

POS you should change your username

I thought I would weigh in on this. I see the car. I see the name. I see a cruel joke on a would be ebay buyer. So is the car a P iece O f S hit. Is the owner a POS, or is the owner ignorant of the subleties of the English language. If the owner is an MD I would say yes quite possibly, I work for 60 radiologists and quite frankly 50% of them are dumb as rocks, interestingly, one of them is an MIT engineering graduate, then an MBA from Harvard, then she went to medical school, and her opinion is that most MDs are in her words, "just a bunch of monkeys who can memorize". So on to my next point. Spend your money on organic foods, work no more than 40 hours a week, and protect your health, because god knows most doctors cannot help you. Correlary to that is buy your drugs in Ca or MX and know what works for you, because chances are you knowyourself better than your doctor does-could someone please page Socrates and inform him of my plagiarizing of his works. I digress. Nice car, bad name, unfortunately I am American and I have been marketed to too much, so now I am only cynical, and I only looks for the unseen, not the obvious, so what is in a name Monsieur POS, hopefully it is the brown thing in the toilet, not the blue thing in your driveway. LOve to All, and yes hopefully some greaser does not convert this fine example of the age of superiour automobile engineering into some monument of the ignorance of a 15mpg auto industry and the end of single digit diesel. OF course maybe if the some gigantically awful species would wipe out 50% of the human population diesel would be 99 cents a gallon-yes I love a free market. ONce again, I digress-Love to all , The Kid

Wow. Cynical you are. For the record, I prefer God to god.

Never judge a book by it's cover; a name is only a name. POS comes from a Chevy Tahoe I had back in 1998 - I used the name back then when I joined some Chevrolet forums, and I continue to use the name today.

Funny, I've had those thoughts

Funny, POS, I've had those thoughts about your screen name as well. That's okay. I haven't a Latin bone in my body and yet I am Dee8go.

This calls to miind the wrecker service I passed yesterday. The name on the building said "Outlaw Towing." I ertainly would not use the for a wrecker service even if that were my last name. Most people already have that oppinion about wrecker services. Why add fuel to the fire.

A name is not name it is a message

So cynical I am not, realist I am. Did you just say don't judge a book by its cover? then why are you judging me to be cynical, just thought I would ask, seeing as you prefer God to god, that is usually the case with the religious types, quick to judge, slow to think, slower to see, and even slowest to use their minds and souls to see the truth. Love to all, The Kid

You stated you were a cynic; then you stated that you were not a cynic, you were a realist. I'm not sure you know who you are, but I do know who you are - you're young. Aah, youth. Blissfully seeing and knowing everything while assuming everyone else older than you just doesn't get it. How could you be wrong? You're omnipotent!

Sorry, don't usually rant and rarely reply to one, but did not get the point of this "sermon break" in a classified thread. Who cares what the guys name is???????

Love to all, The Old Man.

ps Thanks for the tip on organic foods!
