WTB: W123 or even W126 Tragedy - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

I've got a rear-end wrecked 300TD that I'm not going to fix. I'd love to find a no-rust W123 that's either been in a front end accident (obviously not too severe) or that had an engine failure. A W126 wouldn't be a bad option either.

On the off-hand chance that someone has something or gets into an accident, email me. I live just south of DC.

What are the interior/exterior colors of the wagon?... I might want to buy some parts from you.

Nobody has a 300D with a dead engine to offer I take it...

what exactly do you need? "I'm Broke" just picked up the carcass to my 84 300D, hit in the rear, no engine or trans and I think he's going to be getting rid of it soon.

Well if I found a 300D or 300TD or 300SD or... XXXX with a dead engine or transmission, I could swap my good one into it. I could also repair a W123 that had been in a front-end accident with the good front end from my 300TD.

So a rear-end wreck really doesn't help me much.

well if you like projects you could take over one of mine. my 380SEL is engine less at the moment and It's last on the list to get fixed. I had thought about putting a 617 into it awhile back...

Hrm, it looks nice in the pic. So you either need an OM617a (Hrm, I guess that I have one for sale...) or to sell the 380SEL.

I should be at the Sep 2nd GTG (RSVP coming after confirmation).

Haha sounds good. no more purchases for me for awhile, i have too many projects in a state of disassembly! the 380 has been sitting for the last 4 years. that picture was taken the day I bought it.

Im considering selling my '83 300D. It runs rather well, although it has a few issues. No rust though. It has a new water pump, a new battery, I have a newer bosch primer pump and a new voltage regulator that would go with it if I decided to sell it. Brake light on drivers side was hit. I replace the whole light, so all that needs to be done for that is a small amount of body work around the light itself.....

I have an 83 380SEL FS.

At the moment, it'll need a towing; But the chassies is decent, and the engine purrs (ugh - after I install the oiler tube kit..)
