wtb: 240d or 300(d or td) w/ 5speed manual trans. & 617.952 i5 engine

i am looking for a low mileage (under 200,0000 mi.), nice condition (interior important...body and paint less important) 240d, 300d, or 300td with custom transplanted 617.952 engine (into either a 240d or 300d) with a transplanted 5 speed transmission. yes, i know i'm a dreamer, but i just can't help myself. i am located in south florida, but am interested in driving a roadworthy vehicle home from anywhere in the continental u.s. thanks, everyone.

'83 300D Turbo possibly for sale

Well, i restorered a 300D with new paint job and 98% of those little things that weren't working when i got the car. New paint (enamel), brakes, shocks, a/c (134A conversion with new compressor and dryer). Blows very cold. Had the interior cleaned up but carpet still has stains, particularly in the driver's area (easily replaced). Upholstery in good shape, however, tear in back of headliner. All of the gaurges now work. New alternator and water pump. Has 178K original miles. Put in nice Sony headunit, CD/CDRW/MPE/MWA player and 4 new original size speakers. Why sell . . . am simply on the road too much to appreciate it and give it the miles it needs to stay purring. I am a truck driver who spends approximately 3 days per 3 months at home and haven't been able to entice roomie into driving it to work now and then. I have had the car worked on by member Peter Tallah in Orlando, and after fine tuning, he and his dad test drove and agreed that is very solid, dependable car. I figured the car would outlast me . . . .LOL. I drove the car from LA to Floirda, and wouldn't hesitate to drive it back or up to South Dakota for the winter . . .LOL. Let me know if you're interested and I'll let you know my bottom price.
