1986 300sdl - any interest

I need a smaller car. The sdl is a great car but it's bigger than I need. I'd like to find a nice 87 diesel wagon but so far no luck. If anyone around Philly is interested please send me an email. The car has 184k. No rust, very good paint and interior. Some door dings on the exterior. Sad because the car was spotless when I bought it. It's always been garaged and it shows. I've driven the car about 60k miles in the 2.5 years I've owned it. I've been using mobil one diesel engine oil and tranny fluid. It uses about a quart every 4-5k. I change the oil and filter every 5k so it's no problem. Some of the work I've done:

vacuum pump
idler and pulley
driver side window mechanism and motor
right rear a-arm - used replacement
front brakes
rear brakes
brake sensor
fuel filters

The car has a sony cassette player with a ten cd changer in the trunk. The tires aren't great but I do have a set of snow tires that go with the car. No extra rims.

Back on the market. I stopped trying to sell it last september because the 1995 Diesel I was buying was sold out from under me. Anyway, I've found another vehicle. Some people asked about the door dings and interior so here's some photos. You can see the door dings in two of them. It's a shame because when I bought the car it there wasn't a scratch on it. I'm asking $5500. I've been told that's a lot for an sdl but it's not a beater. It's always been well maintained and garaged. In the summer I use front and rear shades if I have to park it outside. It now has a rebuilt alternator and a new combination switch. The only problems with the car are the front tires are due for a replacement (I was going to put the snows on and get new regular tires in the spring) and the speedo just starting acting up.

Interested in a trade?

Greetings,
I have an 1985 190D with 134K miles. I just replaced the timing cover, new timing chain and head gasket. Let me know if your interested. I may be interested in something bigger.
Thanks,
James

I have some records from the previous owner. I don't know about the timing chain. I know I've never replaced it.

Sorry James, I'm looking at a new car.

Dave
