1983 300D Turbo For Sale

Its time to Sell "Rag Doll". Now that I bought the SDL, I dont have room for both Mercedes....

1983 Mercedes 300D Turbodiesel. 181,000 Miles. Excellent Condition, Mechanically and Cosmetically AWESOME. I purchased this car last year and have dumped TONS of time and money into it to make it nice, and I recently was able to pick up a 300SDL for a good deal. I wish I could keep both, but I cant. This 300D is currently running B99 Biodiesel from Houstonbiodiesel.com and you can switch back to Petrodiesel with no ill effects. I have changed all the rubber fuel hoses accordingly.

Car starts and runs great, everything works as it should. I run Shell Rotella T 15W40 oil and I just had an oil analysis by blackstone done, available upon request.

Thumbs up Wow

@#$%&*#$%!!!!

Nice! VERY nice!! Wish you were selling in the late Spring - I'll be in the market in May or June for a 4-door 123. I'd be on this like white on rice if the timing were better.

Looks like someone is going to get a very nice car here. Good luck with the sale.

Looks great.

I would buy that car today if it were May or June 07.

Hope I can find a similar one at that time.

Low mileage gem

Low miles, euro lights, rare Orient red, runs on bio, what a beautiful car.

It should bring all the money, I wish I could get this one at this time, but just can't

She's on ebay, and looks gorgeous

I just saw the ebay listing on this.

That car is SIMPLY STUNNING, what a beautiful car, honestly described, miles right, enthusiast owned, a pampered car really brouoght up to the highest standard-amazing 23 year old car.

If ONLY I could be in a position to do it, I would just simply hit the BIN button and be done with it. I'd go out on a limb here and say it is well worth the price asked. It is a turnkey driver!!

Anybody here looking for an excellent diesel sedan, here it is!
Hurry up too, there are plenty of bids already.

I could see the W126 sedan you picked up, though, in the pictures, and it too, gleams. I do understand also, why your'e letting the burgundy 123 go in favor of this - the 126 gets into serious diesel luxury. I'm sure you'll enjoy that one. I have a 126 gas, and after 10 years, it still looks and runs very well for a 15 year old car!

Good luck on the auction-you won't need it, but good luck anyhow. That car would sure look good in this driveway where I am (but no room!)

Thanks for the flattering comments. I must say, I really hate to see her go, I have the reciepts, cuts and bloody knuckles to show all the work that has been put in her. However, As you can see, I have a Marauder in the Garage, a Suburban, and now the W123 and W126. Thats a lot of wheels.

Theres actually a lurker on this board that may be interested in picking the car up, which makes me feel better to know that another enthusiast is going to pick her up and keep going down the path that I started on.

I'm dropping her off tomorrow at a Indy so said lurker can call and have a prepurchase inspection done on her to ger a piece of mind to see the car is legitamately a solid car.

Again, thanks for the flattering comments! I wish I could keep her!

Roger that. I wonder how much he paid, this is ONE case I'd probably jump on it without even bothering with a PPI, the seller is known here to be totally honest in the description and with people who can vouch for the excellence of the car who've seen it, and know of the seller's integrity. For buying a beautiful W123 diesel this would be as safe, easy and as good as it gets

Whoever he is, he got lucky. This car was a jewel, and I hope it gets a really good home-and the odds are that in Southern California, with all the car enthusisasts down there, it likely will, and live a cosseted and pampered life...

I'm quite envious...
