just for comparison purposes... i stopped by and looked at this car.... it had 164k on it... i would rate the condition very good... the paint looked strong...and i was impressed by the lack of wear on the interior black leather seats. the burl wood was a bit sun-beaten.

this car had one of those stickers (fancy lakefront subdivision) that told me where it resided.... the homes in that area can go from 600k to 3 mil...which is a lot for south carolina.. so i am sure it was taken care of..

I would say it's worth between 9.5 and 11k. i didn't start it up.... service records would price it to the higher end.

sounds abour right and that also makes my price range very reasonable comparativly. The original owner should get back to me within a few days to let me know how extensive his maintenance paperwork is on this car.

i think the right buyer would give you 13.5..... i think you would have to want the color red....

some love red, some hate it.... i think you probably have a very nice car.

I compared it with an absolute mint 1989 560sl with 70k and they sounded and behaved the same.

The biggest flaw is in the softtop cover has a gash in the leather. I am looking into getting it fixed.

Price your car for what you think its worth. Don't worry about what others may think or what they paid for cars. I found that if you are not in a hurry to sell the car and it is in good condition, a buyer is out there. It will take time to find them!!!!

Really?!?! I'm asking $14.5k for mine. It has less than 60k miles and is in fantastic condition. It's been listed on here for weeks and I still haven't had a response. This is very disappointing...I thought it would move fast. Maybe the market for these cars is pretty soft right now.

it's a black euro.. looks mint... i got the vin number and was going to run by the dealer and see if he would give me the service records... seller says it was owned by a heart surgeown

the only problem is there are people with O feedback bidding..so it's the owner's shill bidders trying to get the price up...

i was hoping to get it in the 9600-10500 range...

always looking for that bargain... oh well.

SWEET ! I'm one of those who hated red cars when I was younger so naturally they followed me home a goodly bit , now I'm over 50 I really like red , esp. Chinese or Signal Red , often known in the Trades as ' Re-sale Red '

FWIW , those plugged windshiled squirters are eay to clean out ~ just pluck a bristle out of your wire brush and gently rpobe , globs of wax will come out and it'll be good as new and free too

Location has a lot to do with price too , the used car lot next to my shop here in an industrial area just got in a tan 560SL , only 56K original miles , decent paint with a few scratches , floppy sunvisors and NO hard top , I'm pretty sure they got it from the original owner's garage as it was a bit dusty and the alternator belt was in shreds , it sold in three days for under $4K .

If it had been a 280 or 350 , I'da bought it as it was -very- clean & would have made a great daily driver .

I agree , mostly these cars are fashion statements here in La La Land , I like to drive my old 350SLC -hard- and I think it corners O.K. in the twisty canyons ~ certainly I can easily outrun most of the poreurs in thier Porsche's etc.

I look forward to some long touring in it , just came back from Sta. Fe , NM and wished I'd taken that instead of my brother's pristine 300SD .

If you can , sit on this jewel untill spring and then it'll sell itself I imagine , remember : ' there's an a$$ for every seat '
