1983 300SD Mercedes Diesel Florida Car-Fully Serviced with Extras-Tampa Bay Area

With hesitation I will have to sell my 1983 300 SD pretty soon due to financial obligations. I love this forum and want to keep her but have finally become a realist-I need to take care of some issues as well as only have 2 cars in the driveway so I can abide by my association (yuck). Please understand I am a crazy diesel enthusiast (Benz,Tdi's etc..) and all parts mentioned for service are either factory Mercedes or OEM supplier.


Here are the spec's!!

It is White with Dark Blue Leather interior. This is a Florida car with the body being in really good shape and running really strong. An ideal daily driver. All options work, including the A\C, locks,sunroof ext.. Tires have plenty of tread and are ready to go........Here is a more detailed description:

157k on odo however it has about 175k (I need to fix the gear in the odo)
-auto trans with fresh tranny fluid change including a new transmission filter and gasket-Mercedes OEM. Car runs and shifts very well. Glow plugs are quick to heat up. This is a daily driver and have been happy with its performance. The day I bought her I immediately started to refresh the car to correct spec's. Below is the work I have performed:

Condition
Engine- Very good, runs really smooth, good pickup, recent disel purge so she is ready to go.
Body- Really good overall Florida Car body, some small dings, 1 really,really, small rust spot on surface from common rear window seal that can barely be seen with the trunk closed. All original paint for the exception of the pass side rear door.
Interior-Very,very CLEAN, Good overall shape, all good seat springs, only a small fixed tear in the rear, this is leather not MB Tex. Just needs a little dye on the seats.

Work Performed Since I have owned:
-New ATE Slotted and Vented German Rotors with German Pads(front)-flushed brake Fluid
-New OEM Glow Plugs
-All new air filter bracket with bushings (no rattling!)
-All new filters
-All new fuel hoses-Factory Mercedes
-All new Radiator Hoses-Upper and Lower- Mercedes
-New correct Hoodpad with additional 3M Sound and head deadening material at the bonnet and under the front carpet mats to reduce noise
-Sections of new Zebrano Wood
-New Thermostat-I am anal and want to make sure I know what parts are in the car so I bought a new one.
-New Mecedes Factory Correct Coolant
-New Heavy Duty Battery
-New Bosch Voltage Regulator for Alternator-Charges great!
-New Oil Cap
-New German Blaupunkt CD/MP3 player
-New Polk Audio Speakers-front and rear
-Used Drive Seat is MB Tex Blue in good shape. The rest of the interior is leather and is in very good shape but needing a little dye. It costs about $18.00 to get the correct Mercedes dye to perform this.


Please leep in mind I am very picky so these items are what I would do:

What I would do:
-Gasket replacement at the oil filter canister-easy fix. getting a slight drip
-Odometer gear replacement
-Driver Side Rear Window goes down slightly, needs the part (which I have) that will be included, no time to complete.
-Needs correct leather blue seat for driver side, currently there is a MBtex seat in its place int he correct color but not power. The bolsters are near perfect and work great. What I have is fine however I love to retain the original seating surface which is power and leather.
-I would eventually paint the car as it does have some heat cracks in the paint, from 5 feet away you cannot see but when up close you can. A thick coat of wax and you would probably be fine, it is just me being picky.
-Front Struts

This car will make a great daily driver for someone as it has for me. It runs and looks really good as it sits but I am all about retaining heritage and making it as close to stock new as possible. I simply dont have the time or resources.
