The story may bore some who will move right to the pictures. But for the rest of you, I think it’s important to know what you’re getting into with a car that’s almost 20 years old. This is the 4th W126 I've owned. The only reason I am selling is I bought an even-better 560 SEL (my 5th W126) with 40k miles 2 years ago and am finally accepting the fact that I don't need them both (for a total of 3 cars including a truck, all for one driver).

I purchased car in 2001 from original owner with 45K, now has 84K.
It has original paint all around. Only the bumpers were resprayed.

It is black with palomino.

The car has been meticulously maintained. EVERYTHING works. There are no clunks or squeaks.
The A/C is running original R-12 coolant and blows cold.
Michelin MXV4 (V series) tires have 10K miles on them and are 2 years old
Already replaced timing chain, chain rails, chain guides and tensioner in 2002 @ 50k – (FYI don’t run one of these cars with the original chain guides, I know first hand - my 1987 blew up)
Full tune up was done at ~50k including new wires, plugs, cap and rotor.
OEM radio replaced with Nakamichi CD-45z and vehicle rewired (console fader switch disabled; factory "amps" disabled)
Service records showing oil change at 3-4k intervals and regular transmission fluid services (which always including draining the torque converter).
Even the driver seat spring and pad (horsehair) was replaced in 2004 at an arguably-unnecessary $700 cost in order to increase driver comfort since the original seat "guts" began to fade after a decade and a half
Seats have been kept soft with Leatherique (a product found on this forum)
