garage cleanup time

I need room in the garage. It only holds 19 cars.

On the block...

- A 1974 450sl that runs, but doesn't really move when you hit the gas. It blows a ton of white smoke. I presume the transmission's modulator is blown badly. The car is cream with a tired red interior. The PO had the rockers redone before he went to jail (fraud) and used car to pay his lawyer. I was going to put a 500sel motor into it, but I'd rather play with my 230sl.

- A rust free (really) 380slc with a blown head gasket. The driver's seat as a tear in the leather. This was going to get a 6.9 motor, but I changed my mind on the viability of that upgrade.

I will send pictures if you're interested. I'm looking for over 2,500$ on the 450sl and about 1,300$ on the slc.

I can deliver them anyplace between Long Island, NY and Reading, PA for the cost of gas and the trailer (that would be 200$).

-CTH

Do you have any idea if a 74 450 would go in the SLC? I have a 450se with a good running 450.

mechanically, you can drop anything in this car "as-is" except for an M100.
A 4.5 would require taking the transmission and a few other ancilliaries with it. Also, if you live in an area with smogging requirements, make sure the 4.5 actually passes the stricter rules applied to a 1981 car.

The big garage is in Reading, PA and I try and visit at least once a month. The little garage is in my back yard. I could stuff it with 5 cars, but it's already overloaded with parts from dozens of cars I've harvested over the years.

So many cars, so little time. -CTH
