Renault-powered diesel RV, MN

Digg this -- $2900 for a diesel RV in Minneapolis. Not a MB, but kinda cool!

http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/rvs/268514709.html

I think I have seen this listed on CL before, FWIW. Pretty neat.

I think that was called a LeSharo- made by Winnebago with a fairly common (in europe) engine. Looks like that one has had an owner who loved it... most of these are taking up valuable junkyard space!

they sold a fair number of them about fifteen or twenty years ago. they weren't bad to drive and the engines had plenty of power if turboed. not really long lived motors though.

Also being a classic Winnebago fan, those are notorious on the Winnie forums. They're Renault powered and parts are getting tougher to find.

Engine aside, they are nice, compact and easy to maneuver.

my favorite machinist and i always thought they would be a natrual candidate for a 617 turbo motor.
