Post 1974 350SLC Euro W/ 4 Speed Manual Tranny

1974 Mercedes 350SLC Coupe

V-8

Manual 4 speed transmission

102,000 miles

New tires

New Muffler

New brake pads on all 4 wheels

New front wheel bearings

New driveshaft bearing and tranny mount

New Velour interior

Sony stereo

Current California tags & title

All gauges work , clock just professionally rebuilt , keeps good time .

NEVER needs SMOG testing !

Runs great ! this car is in current daily driver use , averaging 600 miles a week .

Fast , fun true " GT " car made for safe , comfortable high speed touring ~ cruises @ 80 + MPH all day long .

Good fuel milage due to reliable Bosch D-Jetronic fuel injection .

slight rust damage in passenger side rocker panel .

Good car for restoration or drive as - is , only 574 SL's were made with the manual transmission in 1974 ~ you'll never see another one .

Own a classic affordably ~ easy to maintain and Mercedes parts are surprisingly cheap .

Fly in , drive anywhere .

$3,500.00 before it hits E-bay .

Please no stupid scams or check offers etc.

Post Fuel Milage

In mixed city stop & go and freeway speeds with a little bit of hooligan driving (it's hard not to in this car) I get 14 ~ 15 MPG .

You'll prolly get a buncha tickets in it .

There's lots of Euro Spec. cars in Fla , most are either super $pendy or rusted beyond repair .

Here , I am offering a nice daily driver for the price of a parts car....

Heater works great , I like to drive with windows down and that baby cranked all the way up...

Man, I want it, but can't swing it. Thats real cool. Want a non-running Lancia scorpion, with most of the parts to convert to EFI for it? A recent one just sold for 7600 on ebay..

The first MB I wanted was an SLC. & Your offer is attractive
I am working on some new business in bay area & possibly so California & may be back there in a week or 2. The good heater does me like no good, since we have it here 360 days / year
The better q is how is the A/C ? I know its gotta be strong , but is it cold and in good condition?

Do you have any more pic's ? interior - seats - dash....?

Thanks,
AA

The AC was O.K. (passable in the Mojave Desert) but not really -cold- per se
It has an upgraded compressor , it's aluminum so maybe a Sankyo or Nissin , I dunno . the last boob who got into the car twisted the cold control too far so now it's not always engaugung the compressor , a common failure of the pre-'77 AC controls.it's the same control switch as W-115's so I'll find a good used one soon I expect .

I'll try to post up some interior pix next week as I'm leaving town to-day .

Don't forget to remind me ! .

For the price it's hard to beat as I keep right on top of the oil changes and other stuff , valve adjust recently , fixed the seat belt retractors and washed the webbing so they're clean and roll up right now , nt laying on the floor like most cars .

Dash has the usual cracks and the PO installed a fabric dashmat to cover them , looks O.K. to me .

Yes, they'd already sent them back by the time I even wrote a letter asking them to. Thanks for asking.
