1979 240D M/T for sale in NJ
Hi all,
I am selling this one owner 240D for a customer of mine. He purchased it brand new back in '79. It has low mileage, 127,000 to be exact. I am going to put it up on ebay this weekend, but I wanted to give the forum members a shot at it first. I just performed a service on it including: oil service, fuel filters, and comprehensive vehicle inspection. The power steering pump has been replaced within the last 3,000 miles, as well. The car is very clean and has an extra set of rims and tires included in the sale. He has one set for winter with snow tires and the second set for the rest of the year. The eight tires are excellent. The car has a manual sunroof, manual windows, four speed manual transmission, and has A/C. As for the bad...The floor is showing signs of rotting under the driver's seat area. I had a local body shop estimate on the repair and it will be between $500-$700 to repair properly. What shape are the front seats in under the cover? Can you post a pic of the floor and of under the hood, trunk and jack points?

Really looks good in black
I see a few 300d but the 240's seem so far elusive in black. Body looks nice on this one but I am scared of the salt state cars....they do salt the roads in NJ no? Trying to work on the underside of a rusty car is the worst. Price is right though,
 would make a good beater if the body is already toast. This would be a good car for inndependant taxi service too..
