"The car had to be a present for my brother as he
loves this very much, but he did not enjoy it as he died in an accident 1 week ago. " What the heck does this mean? Everything is wrapped up in a nice little $2900 bow, shipping, paperwork. You don't have to do anything except wait for your car to arrive.... Air shipped. Maybe UPS is using dirigables now.

Check out page 22 on the CL alert thread in DD. Same scam, maybe the same car.

UPS security
I finally reached UPS security after talking to four other people in the company. The guy sent me an invoice from UPS that has their logo, color, confirmation number, tracking number, transaction number, and invoice number. Even lists his name and address. Wants me to go to the nearest Western Union and send him the money. Security said they would look into it.

Why don't you send a message back that a family relative just died and you are responsible for the funeral costs, so money is tight. Would he take only $2500? Then if he accepts, tell him money is tighter than you thought, would he take $2000. Repeat until refused. Let us know how low he goes.
Is the user on a Hotmail or Yahoo E-Mail account? What is the postage cancellation stamp on the UPS paperwork envelope? Ken300D Is a CarFax Request acceptable? OK, then I request you lower your prices for a user subscription. Fair pricing will result in fair use.

I just got an email from UPS that says they DON'T offer that service. Also, got an email from spiderman saying he was getting nervous because he had spent $500.00 and had not heard from me. Ernie |

follow up
Well, I got a couple of emails from UPS stating they don't deliver cars except dealing with ocean freight.
The seller asked me why I hadn't sent the money because he had already put up $500 of his own money. I politely told him that UPS couldn't validate his tracking number, transaction number, or invoice number. Haven't heard from him since. Ernie |

new role
My guess is that spiderman is taking on the role of a Nigerian Princess who has come into 550 million dollars and needs an American "sponsor".

You had better get a bigger door step for UPS to leave it on or it is a 1/16 model and his brother was 10. You can still track it through UPS!
