Hey there folks. Does anyone have a 300td-decent shape for sale? I'm looking for one for the wife and baby. I don't need one of those $8000 ebay ones, just a good low(ish) miles, non-rusty driver that needs a vacume pump rebuild or some tinkering to get her back. I'm in TN but we might fly to pick one up.

Jacob,

I have a decent 1980TD (non-turbo). It is beige with brownish-red interior. Has a fairly new paint job but has a crease along the driver's side from being hit while parked.

The engine runs absolutely beautiful. Odometer says 123,xxx but I doubt it is accurate. Probably around 200 on it. Transmission rebuilt 15,000 miles ago with all new bands, etc. (have receipt) but it is flaring between 2-3 and 3-4. Needs some front suspension work and has a little rust underneath but it is not falling apart.

That said, I feel it is ready to go anywhere. $1200 firm. I'm in the Raleigh, NC area.

I just saw one sitting arround the corner from me, it's blue and a turbo. I think I'm gonna approach him with some cash-see if he(or she) will let go of it. I'll let you guys know though, and thanks for the response!

If that looks like a deal, mine is a steal. For anyone reading this, mine looks very presentable (sans rear driver's side door crease) with nice paint, nice chrome, and uncracked headlight surrounds. Driver's seat has a rip along one seam. Door pockets are broken. Wood is still quite nice. Carpet is decent except for driver's side. No third seat. All windows work.

New climate control servo (a/c still needs to be converted from r12). Rear suspension works perfectly. Just a good old non-turbo wagon.
