98 Black C280 *Wanting To sell as parts whole car*

Hi there.. I may need help with this post.. but I am interested in selling this ENTIRE car part by part. The car is in good condition and is only missing the right side mirror and the electrical system for the side views dont work. Other then that it has only minor scratches on the paint and like 1 or 2 tiny dings. I am just wondering if I sell this part by part if anyone is interested in it and how best to go about it. Please forgive me for my ignorance as well. Thanks

Oh yeah it runs and drives great.. it just needs new brakes and theres a ground wire not properly attached i guess.. from what i've been reading that could account for the whining noise i been getting.. it has 142000 miles.. i'm just wondering if i could get more for it selling it piece by piece.. then as a whole or as a trade in to get a different vehicle..

If you have the expertise to completely disassemble the car and sell people parts that have a known condition and you also have enough time to wait for buyers on every single part, then yes, you might well get more cash for the car in pieces than whole. But, think of the amount of time you'll spend doing it and ask yourself if that much time was well spent (I like taking cars apart, so to me, it's "fun time").

That said, take as many pictures as you can of as many parts as you figure you can remove. Usually, you want to disable the car late in the process, so don't sell any engine part you need until you're ready to have a dead car laying around a while (so start with unnecessary body parts). Then again, is your car stored someplace where a few missing doors won't annoy the neighbors or get the interior wet?
